Ronnie - Thanks and maybe we can make a difference here.

SteveO - People that we're bouncing the idea off of (and ourselves) don't have a sense of the "overdone" on the java/social. HOWEVER, the wonderful thing about SocialCamp is that you can post your session idea on the board in the morning and when we tally-up the votes at lunch, it very well could be a session. Please also submit topic ideas and description here. http://www.socialcampmemphis.com/topics/

Thanks much! Love the diversity in thought.

I think the java shop / social is way overdone. Could we focus an aspect of the "social" say brand expansion or re-branding in a new and improved way? This may help us focus better on the exercise and not on how to apply it to a coffee shop.

Areas that I am focused on are how to expand past the current Social followers and how do I bring Social into the minds of target audiences that own a cell phone because they might need one in an emergency. They don't see it as a multi functional communications tool. SMS blew by them and we all kind of laughed, but now we don't understand how to target them.

mmmmm sounds like an open session that I will/could host in the morning. Hopefully we can add to this through the day. It is a bigen that is perplexing a lot of us.

I agree as a regular (if ordering "large, bold please") patron of High Point I hated to see them close. It would have been great to see them reach out with the use of Twitter, Facebook, or one of the many of the social avenues. Even promoting traffic with thy use of coupons though Yowza could have aided them in their time of need. Personally I will always support local business first. With that in mind had I realized their state I would have my promotion of them.

Now I am at a loss on where to get my Friday cinnamon roll fix.
